Smart Education in the Post Covid Pandemic Conference

On March 28-03, 2022, Walailak University had organize the International Conference 2022 on “Smart Education in the Post Covid Pandemic”. The main goal of this Conference is to help the participants update and exchange information about best practices and effective innovations and technologies in leadership and management in education to be better prepared for the future. The Conference is also aimed at exploring innovative ideas and practices related to educational leadership innovation, quality assurance and accreditation, curriculum and research development, teaching and learning in the post-pandemic, digital technologies in teaching and learning, and global partnership and transnational education. 

As a keynote speaker, I delivered a presentation about my research on “Constructing personal learning environments using ICT tools in teaching foreign language”. The study shows that students reported increased motivation and attentiveness when teachers employed a different set of digital tools in a hybrid learning environment of online and in-person classes. The research demonstrates that those teaching practices promoting adaptive learning (with the use of adaptive content, adaptive assessments, and adaptive sequences)  can pave the way for further research opportunities for institutional practice and professional development in the future.

This presentation earned me the “Best Presenter” Prize at the conference.
